Christians in Tanzania, east Africa, are experiencing a new and brutal wave of violence by Islamist extremists. Generosa’s husband Pastor Mathayo was singled out and killed by a machete-wielding mob, while assistant pastor Elijah was killed after assailants attacked a church prayer meeting in Mwanza City. Until now Tanzania has enjoyed decades of relative peace and stability.
